A PROCLAMATION TO PRIVIDE THE RATIFICATION

OF BAMAKO CONVENTION.
A proclamation to provide the retification of Bamako
Convention.

WHEREAS,the Bamako Convention on the Ban of the
import into Africa and the Control of Transboundary
movements and management of Hazardus Wastes Within

.Africa was adopted on 30 January,1991;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples' Representaives of
the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia ratified the
Bamako Converition at its session held on the 3rdday of
July, 2003;

Ratification of the convention
The Bamako Convention on the Ban of the import into
Africa and the Control of Transboundary Movements
and Management of Hazardous Wastes Within Africa,
adopted on the 30 th day of January, 1991, is hereby
ratified.

A PROCLAMATION TO PRIVIDE THE RATIFICATION
OF BAMAKO CONVENTION.

A proclamation to provide the retification of Bamako
Convention.

WHEREAS, the Bamako Convention on the Ban of the
import into Africa and the Control of Transboundary
movements and management of Hazardus Wastes Within

_Africa was adopted on 30 January, 1991;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representaives of
the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia ratified the

Bamako Convention at its session held on the 3“day of
July, 2003;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Articles
55(1) and (12) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic
Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:

1. Short Title

This proclamation may be cited as the “ Bamako
Convention Ratification Proclamation No. 355/2003”

2. Ratification of the convention
The Bamako Convention on the Ban of the import into
Africa and the Control of Transboundary Movements
